Spreading God’s Praise Through Voice
Singer-songwriter, Chisaraokwu Josephine Ohanele's music combines smooth vocals and gospel harmonies to create unique soulful songs that uplift and inspire.
Chisara lives in California, USA with her husband and five Children. She was born in Lagos and grew up in Ihitte-Ngor Okpala, Imo State, Nigeria.
At an early age, singing was only part of Sunday worship or during “Block Rosary.” Singing was not considered part of her. Her life’s goal was to do well in school and pursue a career in the healthcare profession.
Chisara earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has practiced as a nurse for more than 38 years – 10 years in Nigeria and 28 years in the United States of America. She recently started singing as part of her routine, quiet and frequent moments praising God.
Chisara would tell the story this way “the more I offer self to praising God, the more ways to praise Him come to me.” She started preserving the songs and bible-like verses on her iPhone.
As it all seems, this is how jachiMusic began. Her husband and Children did not take this seriously especially as she continue to practice her profession, working very long hours. The thought is that she is due to retire and have free time to rest after all her Children but one (who is continuing her studies and on federal scholarship) has graduated from college.
The hope is that her work product can serve to provide humanity some joy and peace of mind when they listen to her songs.
